Mesogheo is situated on the border of the province of Benevento, within easy reach of both Naples and Rome. It takes approximately just 30 minutes to reach the Naples Capodichino airport and 90 minutes to get to Rome Fiumicino airport by car. The nearest railway station is the Telese Terme which is located about 10kms from Mesogheo. The province of Benevento is rich in its antiquity. The triumphal arch built in honor of Trajan reveals the city’s history. Other places of interest are Santa Sofia, The cathedral and Rocca die Rettori.

The Mesogheo was originally constructed to be a farmhouse which was later converted to a hotel keeping the original plan in mind. There is a restaurant, small cozy rooms and a library on the ground floor. Even though being an unusual facility, the library is surprisingly well stocked to cater to the needs of visitors looking for some privacy, comfort and seclusion. The upper floors are not for guests but are used by the owners of the property themselves. The Mesogheo has two swimming pools, three dependences and ten charming rooms, each of them having a fireplace, refrigerator and other necessary utilities like telephone and televisions. A true farmhouse, it is well hidden in an olive grove, centuries old at the foot of Camposauro Mountain. A short stay of two nights can cost €90 with a double room and includes complementary breakfast.
The theme of the Mesogheo is to give complete comfort in terms of privacy, peace and tranquility. It radiates hospitality and has a very relaxed aura. The restaurant normally serves local Campania cuisine, but can toss up international food as ordered. It is primarily built for comfort and not luxury. Do not expect star service but enjoy the serenity and the joy of residential comfort.
